Visit two fantastic gardens
Cornwall is blessed with the warm Gulf Stream influencing the climate which creates mild growing conditions that are unlike anywhere else in Britain. The wealth of beautiful plants and trees thriving in the diverse and subtropical weather has made Cornwall famous for its gardens.
There are over seventy varied gardens to visit in the county, ranging from large National Trust properties to small privately owned gardens which only open for charity. Garden restorations, award-winning displays of flora and fauna, sub-tropical global gardens and dramatic ravines with tree ferns and forests of rhododendrons which tumble down to the Atlantic Ocean can all be visited. Choose from our selection of favourites and discover two of them with our discounted garden breaks package.

The Eden Project
Voted the UK’s best leisure attraction for several consecutive years, immerse yourself in Mediterranean and Rainforest climates housed in giant biomes. Climb up above the canopy and wonder at the waterfall. Indulge your senses whilst wandering through exotic plants with wonderful aromas and learn about the eco benefits of the gifts of our planet.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan
Recognised by many as one of the best garden restoration projects in the country, The Lost Gardens of Heligan is a traditional working country estate with a surprise around every corner! Enchanting woodland pathways with giant sculptures lead to a jungle set in a steep valley and onto a Victorian working kitchen garden, wildlife area and romantic pleasure grounds.
Listed amongst the 80 finest gardens in the world, 26 acres of subtropical gardens nestle above the Helford River. Pathways spilling over with vibrant exotic blooms and giant ferns lead through valleys full of scented flowers and champion specimen trees down to a private beach.
Enjoy discovering the many gardens within this carefully planted 30 acres site, from the intimate Japanese Garden with stepping stones over the pond through to the wide open ‘pinetum’ with its conifer and pine tree arrangement. Over 6,000 labelled plants decorate the pathways, grown from seeds collected by the owners on their travels around the world.
